    Description

Note:there is a drop down list near the top of this page titled "MODEL" - click on it and you will see the pricing and be able to add to your cart  the different items described below.
    If you see the quantity
    available
as zero, eBay message me and I may have it or can tell you when it will be in stock again.
    If you are
    unfamiliar
with Colwood tips message me and I will send you a chart  of the shapes of the tips and the info on Fixed Tip pens versus Replaceable tips. With Replaceable tips you won't save any money unless you plan to eventually buy more than 7 tips due to the cost of the 2 handles and puller needed with a SuperPro.
    To
see the difference in Fixed tips versus Replaceable tips systems  go to "YourTube"
"How to Use Colwood WoodBurning Tools"
    Colwood  Wood Burner Units,
110V -120V models for USA and Canada are offered for sale on a
    separate
    listing, not this one
.  Unless I can confirm a USA based buyer is purchasing these for resending to another country I will cancel the order.
The foreign country buyer will need to purchase a plug adapter to make these units plug compatible with their countries system. It is best to wait until you recieve these units to make that adapter purchase to ensure you get the right one
If you are new to wood burning, you would want to purch
    a
se some pens as well, so I am also offering the units with 5 specific Fixed Tip Pens   or 5 Replaceable Tip pens, 2 handles and an EZ-Puller. If you want different pens or don't understand the options message me before ordering.
The SuperPro II comes with one 16 AWG and one 14 AWG cord. The Detailer comes with either a 16AWG cord or a 14AWG cord- your choice.  The 14 AWG cord is heaver than a 16 AWG cord, lasts longer but is "stiffer".
The 5 pen option is what I consider a general purpose 3 piece starter set  plus 2 additional tips which includes:
    a
    Skew
    ("B" )
    (1/4") Large Point
    a
    Writing Tip
    "C"
    (.076") Writing
A writing tip used to sign your work. Also used for burning plaques and designs on wood.
    a
    Shader
    "S"  -
    Fixed Tip-S (3/16") Shading
plus the "D" and "J" which make lines like a skew but are shapes which get into area that a skew can't
    If you want
different shapes or more or less number of Pens message me first.
See my listing titled "Colwood Wood Burner Pen Sets" for ideas about what pens to use for what purposes. Now is the time to purchase what you may need as when shipped with the unit it does not increase your shipping costs.
Contact me via eBay messages before ordering as there may be a price
    adjustment
needed depending on the Pens you want.
Note:  these units do NOT come with a carrying case.
I am an authorized Colwood retailer so all standard Colwood factory warranties apply - 2 years on the boxes, 1 year on all cords, 90 days on the pens.
Please note:  accidental damage is not covered by warranty. The pen tips are delicate instruments, they will break if you drop them off a table on to a hard surface.
I also have all the Pens that Colwood makes and the same pen works on both the 120V and 240 V models.
Contact me via eBay messages if you have a Burner unit and just need Pens,

Here are the differences in the Colwood units as I see it:
The Cub, Detailer and SuperPro II all have the same transformer and same DC circuitry.
The Detailer and SuperPro II have the same heat control circuitry with a separate on/off switch so you can leave the heat set at the ideal # and still turn unit off with out disturbing that setting.
The Cub has a different heat control circuitry with the off being
integral to the heat control so that turning off always disturbs your heat setting and you will have to re-find that ideal heat level next time you turn it on. All units will get all pens red hot.
Some people that have used both a Cub and Detailer/SuperPro fell the rheostat on Detailer/SuperPro's are more heat sensitive which provides better control of the "brown" colors you can
    achieve
    .
    The
    SuperProII
has both a 14AWG  cord for extra heavy burning and a standard 16
    AWG
cord for normal burning.  However, only one pen can be hot at a time - a selector switch determines which cord you want to be hot.
    The Cub
    and
Detailer have one cord normally a 16
    AWG
cord but I can supply Cub or Detailer with 14
    AWG
cord if desired. Message me in advance for
    availability
    .  If you on
    ly
    occasionally need
    heavy
duty burning such as on gourds a good choice is the Detailer with both a 16
    AWG
cord attached and an extra 14
    AWG
cord for when you need that
    extra
    heavy burning.
    Both the
    Detailer
    and
    SuperPro
    have
    terminals
    to easily change cords
    with
a screw driver.  The Cub must be
    disassembled
    and
    soldered
    to change-
    not
    easy.
The Cub has a different heat control
    rheostat
    with the "off" being
integral to the heat control so that turning "off" always disturbs your heat setting and you will have to re-establish that ideal heat level next time you turn it on. Of, course you can always unplug versus turning off.
If you are doing pictures on a flat board I recommend the Detailer Kit over the Cub.  If you are doing in-the-round birds and animals which will get painted then Cub is fine.  If you will be doing a lot of burning the SuperPro will save some time.
The Cub does not come in a 240V model. You would have to have a step up transformer to use in a 240V country.
I do not normally stock a Detailer 240 V model because it was seldom requested - message me if you prefer one - it is about less than a SuperPro II

    committing
to buy.  My shipping charge gets the Unit to eBay facility in KY . what you see as eBay Global shipping charges get it to you overseas and includes import fees and taxes your country collects from Ebay. Look up "eBay Global shipping" under help for what is included in these costs.
I have 5 days handling time added to shipping time but be
    assured
I will ship as soon as I can.  I include  the 5 days just in case I do not have in stock. Often the manufacture has to build these to order. If you want to know when I can actually ship, message me.
