Replacement Cords for Colwood Wood Burners

Need a Replacement cord for your Colwood Wood Burner?  Colwood made 3 wire diameter sizes.
18 AWG which is the "thinnest" size and is the most flexible -
Colwood has stopped making the 18 AWG cord.
16 AWG which is the "medium" size and is still  flexible - good for in the round birds, animals, etc,
14 AWG which is the "thickest" size and is less flexible than the others.  The advantage it has is it's ability to carry large currents to produce very hot tips and dark burning.  It's lower flexibility makes it less desirable for burning detailed "pictures".  It is good for  dark burning large areas like signs or gourds.
You can tell which size cord you currently have by looking at the pen end of the cord and noting the color of the band around the cord-  Blue is 18AWG, red is 14 AWG and 16 AWG has a black band on the connector (
it looks like it has no special colored band )
and  the entire cord on all sizes is black.
The Cub model replacement cord has no terminals as the cord goes inside the units cover and must be soldered on

The Detailer, SuperPro and Galaxy models all use the same replacement cord which has screw terminals.  It can be replaced with just a screw driver and does not require removing the units cover.
